  •  I have a rough idea of how much income I’ll need in retirement.

  •  I’ve used a pension calculator to estimate my retirement income.

  •  I know my State Pension forecast and when I’ll receive it.

 

🔹 4. Access & Options

  •  I understand my options for taking money from my pension (e.g. lump sum, drawdown, annuity).

  •  I know the tax implications of withdrawing from my pension.

  •  I’ve considered how to make my pension last through retirement.

 

🔹 5. Support & Guidance

  •  I’ve spoken to a pension provider or guidance service in the last year.

  •  I know when I legally need regulated financial advice.

  •  I know where to go for free, impartial guidance (e.g. Pension Wise, MoneyHelper).

  • 12–15 points: You're in great shape! Just keep reviewing regularly.
